The Stratford High School students of the month for February are Grace Wright, Katelyn Estes, Josh Gifford, and Keyln Dickerson. Students of the month are nominated and selected based on attendance, scholarship, leadership, school spirit, personality and attitude.

Crash ends pursuit near Lindsay

A Lindsay man is facing felony charges in connection to a police pursuit through Garvin County Sunday morning that ended in a collision involving a Garvin County Sheriff’s Deputy. The incident began when law enforcement officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance call at a residence southwest of Pauls Valley around 9:45 a.m.

REC donates money to rural fire departments

Body
Rural Electric Cooperative recently donated $18,350 in grants to rural fire departments in the cooperative’s service area, including several in Garvin County. The grant awards were presented during REC’s annual Fire Department Appreciation Banquet, an event the cooperative has hosted for the last 34 years to recognize rural firefighters for their efforts in protecting lives and property.
