An early morning fire at the Wynnewood Refinery has been extinguished, though emergency crews remain on site.

CVR Energy confirms the fire started just after 3 a.m. Sunday morning as severe weather moved through the area.

“We believe the fire commenced in the naphtha processing units," CVR Energy said in a statement released Sunday. "At this point our primary concern is for our employees, contractors and the community. All employees and contractors have been accounted for without injury, and there is no ongoing threat to the community."

“We appreciate the efforts of our emergency response teams and local authorities, including the Wynnewood Fire Department, in responding to this incident.”

According to the statement, CVR will provide additional updates as appropriate.
